Seeds of Connection, 2026
Sana, a young, unconventional woman from Berlin, crosses the Atlantic to openly donate her eggs to a gay couple with hopes of meeting the intended parents and, one day, the child. On her quest to redefine family in the 21st century, she interviews donors, parents, and experts who reveal the industry's hidden complexities. Sana’s excitement quickly turns to hardship as intense hormone treatments push her body and mind to the edge. As she heals, she becomes an advocate, sharing her story with the community and lawyers and fighting for justice for future donors. By documenting her journey, she exposes the fertility industry's ethical and legal issues and challenges our society’s view on family.
